چکیده

کواین حوزه پیش بینى و آزمون را براى تحقیق برمى‏گزیند. در بحث شواهد (Evidence) مى‏گوید: که تشکیل نظامهاى نظرى از تحریک حواس شروع مى‏شود که آن، جملات مشاهده‏اى (observation sentences) را به ما القا مى‏کند. از آنها گزارهاى مطلقه مشاهده‏اى (observation categoricals) استنتاج مى‏شود. آزمون بر اساس این گزاره‏هاست.
او مى‏گوید که معتقد به یقین علمى دکارتى (Cartesian sceintific certainty) نیست، و بعد به نظریه معرفت‏شناسى با قرائت طبیعى (naturalized epistemology) خودش به عنوان راه جایگزین اشاره‏اى مى‏کند.

In evidence ' chapter he says that the forming of the critical systems starts with the stimulus of the senses, which gives us, the observation sentences.
