The image of the separation of philosophy from religion has this time adopted philosophy tools against philosophy to prove that not only philosophers themselves did not use philosophy to understand religious goals; rather they believed it to be abortive in this realm.
The article “Corporeal Resurrection in Transcendental Theosophy” is a great effort for this image to overshadow “Transcendental Theosophy”. The overall attempt of the article is to prove Sadra’s “Separatism” concerning the “Corporeal Resurrection” as one of its prominent instances, and then to spread it to all other Sadra’s opinions. This way, the article intends to tell that all schools of Islamic philosophy, above all “Transcendental Theosophy”, are abortive in the realm of religious beliefs. It wants to stabilize the idea that philosophical view may result in everything except religion. Confirming the claim, there are some sporadic cases of Sadra’s works as well as his and some of other philosophers’ dictums in the article. Thereby, there are ambiguous and questionable correlations resulted from Sadra’s explicit words.
We did a truth seeking consideration to explore the aims of that article, and to purge Sadra’s transcendental philosophy from distortions and baseless fancies. In this essay also the weak and misconceived instances are reminded.
